50CrV4 steel belongs to alloy spring steel, 50CrV4 is German standard steel, corresponding to China is 50CrVA.
50CrV4 spring steel has good mechanical and technological properties and high hardenability. The addition of vanadium refines the grain size of steel, reduces superheat sensitivity, improves strength and toughness, has high fatigue strength and high yield ratio, but poor weldability and low cold deformation plasticity. It is a kind of high-grade spring, which is used as a high-load important spring with larger cross-section and valve spring, piston spring and safety valve spring whose working temperature is less than 300 C.
